Clinical, Radiological, Histologic and Molecular Features of a Cohort of Melanocytic Tumors of the Central Nervous System
Primary melanocytic tumors of the central nervous system are rare lesions and occur develop from leptomeningeal melanocytes. The WHO classification of tumors of the central nervous system in its most recent version (2021) distinguishes on the one hand the circumscribed melanocytic tumors including melanocytoma, benign, and its slope malignant, meningeal melanoma, with an intermediate grade lesion in between, called intermediate grade melanocytoma. They are to be distinguished from diffuse tumors or multifocal diseases such as melanocytosis and its malignant corollary, melanomatosis. The main current challenge is to distinguish them...

Clinical Study of Fianlimab in Combination With Cemiplimab in Adolescent and Adult Patients With Previously Untreated Unresectable Locally Advanced or Metastatic Melanoma
This study is researching an experimental drug called REGN3767, also known as fianlimab (R3767), when combined with another medication called REGN2810, also known as cemiplimab (each individually called a "study drug" or called "study drugs" when combined). The study is focused on patients with a type of skin cancer known as melanoma. The aims of the study are to see how effective the combination of fianlimab and cemiplimab are in treating the melanoma skin cancer, in comparison with a medication, pembrolizumab, approved for the treatment of melanoma skin cancer in adults, and to observe any similarities, or differences, in how the...

Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Effect of a Probiotic Mixture in the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis in Children
A prospective case-control multicentric pilot study of 12 weeks duration to evaluate the effect of a probiotic mixture in the treatment of atopic dermatitis in children from 0 to 3 years old, by measuring the severity of the condition using the SCORAD index, as well as the Clinical Global Impression rating scale, the potential decrease in the use of corticosteroids and antihistamines, and the safety of the treatment under study by the number of adverse events related to the product under study.

Clinical Workflow Optimization Using Artificial Intelligence for Dermatological Conditions
Artificial intelligence (AI) based on imaging holds tremendous potential to enhance visual diagnostic accuracy in the medical field. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, limited access to in-person healthcare services drove shifts in medical care, hastening the adoption of telemedicine. In this context, AI usage for triage and decision support may be crucial for professionals to manage workload and improve performance. In dermatology, pigmented lesions, acne, and alopecia are three recurring pathology groups with high demand in dermatological centers. Both triage, clinical evaluation, and patient follow-up require in-person resources and...

Combined Microneedling With Either 1% Lactic Acid Solution or Vitamin D3 or Triamcinolone Acetonide in The Treatment of Alopecia Areata
Alopecia areata (AA) is an immunologically mediated disease characterized by non-scarring hair loss (Madni and Shapiro, 2000). AA is presented by rapid and complete hair loss in one or more round or oval patches, usually on the scalp, beard area, eyebrows, eyelashes, and less commonly, on other hairy areas of the body (Berker et al., 2010 and James et al., 2011) Alopecia areata is a T-cell-mediated autoimmune disease. There is a complicated interplay between loss of immune privilege in the hair follicle, autoimmune-mediated hair follicle damage, and activation of inflammatory pathways that have been argued to explain the development...
