Skin Pathology Assessment With Optical Technologies
The Skin Pathology assessment with Optical Technologies (SPOT) study aims to assess the feasibility of recently developed light-based skin imaging tools such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for the study of eczema (dermatitis [AD]). Tools such as OCT have enabled us to see beneath the skin surface, allowing us to see changes in our skin which are hidden and impossible to assess by eye, simply by shining harmless light into the skin. The investigators want to understand what these changes represent in the broader context of eczema. To do this, the investigators would like to recruit 60 volunteers who have a range of ...

Skin-to-skin Contact in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Caregiving Touch and Neural Correlates of Slow Stroking Touch in Preterm Infants
Preterm (PT) infants spend their first weeks of life in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where receive little affective physical contact, which plays a crucial role in brain development. Evidence indicates that skin-to-skin contact (SSC) has a positive effect on infants' neurophysiological and behavioral adjustment to postnatal life. Moreover, caregiving touch during early interactions is related to sensitive caregiving behavior, which in turn is associated with brain connectivity in full-term (FT) infants. Despite the importance of both SSC and caregiving touch for infant development little is known about the neural correlates of...

Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) Melanoma Registry
The goal of this patient registry is to describe risk factors for bad prognosis of melanoma in Spain. The main questions it aims to answer are: - To describe socioeconomical individual risk factors associated with melanoma prognosis, such as gender, residence area or socioeconomic level. - To describe potentially modifiable characteristics of health care associated with prognosis, such as waiting times, type of centre that makes the diagnosis or use of teledermatology Participants data will be gathered for analysis, without any change in the way that they are being treated.

Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Registry of Atopic Dermatitis Therapy
The Spanish Registry of Systemic therapy in atopic eczema, BIOBADATOP, assesses drug safety and treatment effectiveness as well as treatment impact on quality of life in children and adults with atopic eczema receiving systemic immuno-modulatory therapies in Spanish daily practice. The main objectives are: 1. To assess short and long-term safety of systemic therapies (including phototherapy) for atopic eczema (pharmacovigilance). 2. To assess short and long-term effectiveness of systemic therapies, providing a basis for shared decision making and guidelines. Secondary objectives are: 1....

Stelara and Tremfya Pregnancy Exposure Registry OTIS Autoimmune Diseases in Pregnancy Project
The purpose of the OTIS Autoimmune Diseases in Pregnancy Study is to monitor planned and unplanned pregnancies exposed to certain medications, to evaluate the possible teratogenic effect of these medications and to follow live born infants for one year after birth. With respect to fetal outcome, it is important to evaluate the spectrum of outcomes that may be relevant to a medication exposure during pregnancy, and these include both easily recognizable defects which are visible at birth, as well as more subtle or delayed defects that may not be readily identifiable without special expertise and observation beyond the newborn...

Studies of Skin Microbes in Healthy People and in People With Skin Conditions
This study will examine microbes (e.g., bacteria, fungi, viruses) that live on human skin and how microbes contribute to health and disease. It will analyze healthy human skin and how the these microorganisms might change in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), a skin condition also known as eczema. Healthy volunteers, as well as patients with moderate to severe eczema (AD), between 2 and 40 years of age may be eligible for this study. We also wish to enroll children and adults aged 2-40 who have been diagnosed with inherited immune disorders known as HIES (hyperimmunoglobulin-E syndrome), WAS (Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome),...
